Podcast Production & Content Disclaimer

This Disclaimer explains the limits of Moon Umlaut's role when providing creative, technical, and editorial support for podcasts and related written materials.

1. Nature of the Service

Moon Umlaut provides podcast planning, production, editing, transcription, writing, and publishing support. These are creative and technical services.

2. No Regulated Professional Advice

Services do not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, psychological, accounting, or other regulated professional advice. Editing or formatting a statement does not mean Moon Umlaut has verified that statement as professional advice.

3. Client Responsibility for Published Content

The client remains responsible for the substantive claims, opinions, endorsements, advertisements, disclosures, guest statements, descriptions, links, and other content that the client chooses to publish.

Moon Umlaut may make editorial or production suggestions but does not assume the publisher's legal responsibility for the episode.

4. Fact Checking

Unless a separate fact-checking service is expressly agreed, production does not include independent verification of every statistic, quotation, name, date, legal assertion, medical statement, scientific claim, or third-party representation contained in source material.

5. Transcription Accuracy

Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, speaker clarity, accent, pronunciation, overlapping speech, technical terminology, names, and source-file condition.

Clients should review transcripts before using them as official records, published quotations, compliance documents, or other high-stakes materials.

6. Audio Restoration Limits

Audio cleanup cannot guarantee removal of every noise, distortion, echo, clipping artifact, breath, room sound, background interruption, or recording defect without affecting the underlying speech.

Some recording problems are technically irreversible.

7. Editorial Judgment

Show notes, summaries, and episode copy are editorial materials based on the source episode and client instructions. They may require client review for specialized terminology, factual claims, names, titles, links, and context.

8. Platform Results

Moon Umlaut does not guarantee podcast-host acceptance, directory availability, ranking, recommendation placement, search visibility, listener growth, subscription growth, sponsorship, advertising revenue, or other commercial outcomes.

9. Guest Releases and Permissions

The client is responsible for obtaining any guest consent, contributor permission, music license, clip permission, artwork right, or other authorization required for the client's intended publication.

10. Third-Party Statements

Statements made by guests, interviewees, contributors, or other third parties remain their own statements. Editing such material for clarity or pacing does not mean Moon Umlaut adopts or endorses the views expressed.

11. Time-Sensitive Information

Podcast episodes may remain available after information becomes outdated. The client is responsible for determining whether time-sensitive claims, offers, disclosures, or factual statements should be updated, removed, or qualified.

12. Accessibility

Transcripts may assist accessibility and reference needs, but Moon Umlaut does not represent that a particular transcript or website implementation satisfies every accessibility requirement unless such compliance work is expressly agreed.
